Dr. Chrysovalantis Voutouri (male) is a postdoctoral fellow at the UCY. He earned a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from UCY, in 2013. The same year he joined the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at UCY and the Cancer Biophysics Laboratory in particular as PhD student. During his doctoral studies, he was trained as a biomedical engineer and mathematical modeller, along with experimental training on small laboratory animal handling. His PhD studies were focused on the development of mathematical models for the design of strategies that remodel the tumor microenvironment to improve therapy. In the last four years, Dr. Voutouri has co-authored 17 articles in peer-review journals (h-index=9, >190 citations), including articles in Neoplasia, PNAS and ACS Nano.
