Mission

BERC purports to integrate all related biomedical engineering activities within the University of Cyprus, for the discovery and application of innovative solutions focusing on bioengineered precision medicine based on the following technologies:

(i)    Sensing, Electronics & Micro- & Nano- Biotechnologies

(ii)   Digital Health

(iii)  Robotics and Rehabilitation

(iv)  Bioinformatics, Modelling & Systems Medicine

(v)   Imaging, Analytics, Artificial Intelligence

supported by

(i)    Molecular/Cellular Biosciences (-omics)

 and

(ii)   Clinical Development & Validation.

The Centre will focus the application of the developed technologies on key clinical fields: cardiovascular, oncology, neurology, pulmonology, among other related fields – all with aim of achieving meaningful therapeutic results.
