Dr. Anastasia Constantinidou (female) is a Lecturer in Oncology/Haematology at the Medical School, UCY and a Consultant Medical Oncologist at the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Center (BoCOC). Following her MD and Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) she completed her specialist clinical training (CCT) in Medical Oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London. She obtained her MSc in Oncology and her PhD in Molecular Pathology from the Institute of Cancer Research, University of London. Her basic science research has focused on novel targets in cancer therapeutics with emphasis on epigenetics. She also has extensive experience in translational research and precision medicine running early and late phase clinical trials. She has been awarded a number of fellowships including the ECCO-AACR-EORTC-ESMO Fellowship in Methods in Clinical Cancer Research and grants from the Wellcome Trust and the Sarcoma UK. Her clinical practice and ongoing research interests focus on breast cancer and she is the Principal Investigator of a number of European translational projects and clinical trials on therapeutic strategies in cancer. She is the coordinator of the MSc program ‘Precision Medicine in Clinical Practice’ of the Medical School at UCY due to enrol its first students in September 2019. Dr Constantinidou is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) and a Faculty Member of the European School of Oncology (ESO)
