Dr. Myrianthi Hadjicharalambous (female) received her Diploma in Applied Mathematical and Physical Sciences from National Technical University of Athens, in 2010. She was awarded an MSc in Mathematical Modelling, from the Department of Mathematics, at UCL (2011). In 2015, she completed her PhD on diastolic patient-specific models of the human heart, at the Division of Imaging Sciences and Biomedical Engineering, at King’s College London. From 2016 to 2017, Myrianthi worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Kings’ College London, investigating the application of MR-Elastography in the heart. Before joining the UCY’s Department of Mechanical Engineering as a Research Fellow, she worked in KIOS Research and Innovation CoE (UCY). Her research interests include mathematical modelling, computational nonlinear mechanics, patient-specific modelling and applications of numerical, modelling and computational techniques in biomedical problems and control engineering.
